On November 3, 2025, Habitat — represented by Executive Director Jeta Berisha — and UNIVERSUM College School, represented by Executive Director Arbër Morina, formalized a partnership aimed at strengthening sustainability capacities and integrating green methodologies within the education system.
This collaboration seeks to advance the adaptation of the European Green Agenda through sustainable infrastructure practices, the development of environmentally oriented curricula, educational initiatives, and the establishment of Green Clubs within the college. These efforts represent a concrete step toward nurturing a new generation equipped with environmental awareness and the practical skills necessary for green transformation.
By embedding sustainability principles into both learning environments and institutional practices, the partnership aims to move beyond theoretical understanding and foster real-world application. Students will be encouraged to explore topics such as climate responsibility, resource efficiency, circular economy principles, and sustainable lifestyles, enabling them to become informed decision-makers and proactive contributors to environmental stewardship.
The initiative also promotes interdisciplinary learning and innovation by connecting environmental education with technology, social responsibility, and community engagement. Through workshops, student-led initiatives, and collaborative projects, the institution will serve as a living laboratory where sustainability is practiced daily and reinforced through experiential learning.
This memorandum represents an important step toward bridging academic knowledge with sustainable practices, building meaningful connections between education, innovation, and Kosovo’s green future. By aligning educational development with environmental responsibility, the partnership contributes to long-term societal resilience and supports the country’s transition toward a sustainable and climate-conscious future.
Through this cooperation, Habitat and UNIVERSUM reaffirm their shared commitment to empowering youth, strengthening institutional responsibility, and fostering a culture where sustainability becomes an integral part of everyday learning and decision-making.
