Habitat and SHPIK Establish Strategic Partnership to Advance Green and Digital Transition in Education

On October 29, Habitat — Kosovo’s first green and digital company specialized in climate technology, represented by Executive Director Jeta Berisha — signed a partnership agreement with the Shoqata Profesionale e Informaticientëve të Kosovës (SHPIK), represented by Executive Director Diellza Shllaku. This multi-year partnership will extend across the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo, aiming to strengthen the public education sector by building institutional capacities related to the green transition.

Through this collaboration, awareness will be strengthened in primary and secondary schools by introducing sustainable practices grounded in science, innovation, and practical action. The initiative seeks to deepen understanding of the importance of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans while encouraging younger generations to embrace a greener and more digital future.

By integrating environmental responsibility with digital literacy and technological innovation, the partnership promotes a holistic educational approach that prepares students for emerging societal and economic challenges. Activities will support educators, school administrators, and students in understanding sustainability concepts while fostering practical skills linked to climate responsibility, resource efficiency, and digital competencies.

At its core, the partnership is guided by a shared vision to transform the green transition into an inclusive, educational, and tangible process within every school community in Kosovo. Through collaborative programs, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building initiatives, the cooperation aims to make sustainability a lived practice rather than an abstract concept.

This cooperation reflects a long-term commitment to aligning education with climate responsibility and technological advancement, ensuring that Kosovo’s youth are equipped to navigate and shape the evolving green and digital economy. By investing in knowledge, innovation, and environmental stewardship, Habitat and SHPIK contribute to building resilient communities and a future-ready society.
