KosICT25 provided an exceptional platform to raise awareness about one of the fastest-growing and most transformative industries globally — climate technology. During the event, Habitat presented Karbon360, the first #MadeInKosova software designed for real-time tracking, calculation, and reporting of carbon emissions, demonstrating how technology and climate action can converge to build smarter and greener cities.
Through Karbon360, we shared practical insights into how digital innovation can support institutions and businesses in measuring their environmental impact, improving transparency, and aligning with international climate standards. The presentation highlighted the role of ClimateTech in enabling data-driven decision-making, supporting sustainable urban development, and accelerating the green transition.
KosICT25 also served as a dynamic space for exchange and collaboration. Meetings with industry professionals, potential partners, and an inspiring community of young innovators reinforced a shared vision: Kosovo is entering its green transition era. The growing interest in sustainable technologies demonstrates the country’s potential to foster new employment opportunities, stimulate local innovation, and contribute to regional sustainable development.
Climate technology represents not only an environmental solution but also an economic opportunity. By investing in digital tools and green innovation, Kosovo can strengthen its competitiveness, support compliance with emerging European sustainability requirements, and position itself as a regional contributor to climate solutions.
Habitat extends its sincere gratitude to UNDP Kosovo and the BOOST Accelerator for providing a platform that connects visionaries with the future and supports innovation with tangible impact.
Events like KosICT25 reaffirm that the twin transition — green and digital — is not a distant ambition but an unfolding reality. Through collaboration, innovation, and youth engagement, Kosovo is shaping a resilient, sustainable, and forward-looking future.
