Today in Ferizaj, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Habitat, represented by Executive Director Jeta Berisha, and the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari.
This partnership marks an important step toward building green and sustainable academic practices, positioning the university as a model for sustainable education in Kosovo.
Within the framework of this cooperation, Habitat has provided the use of Karbon360 — Kosovo’s most innovative carbon emissions management platform, developed in accordance with the European GHG Protocol standard and supported by localized emission factors.
This initiative makes the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj the second public university in the country to initiate the decarbonization process through carbon footprint measurement, data inventory, and accurate emissions reporting.
This represents a historic step for Kosovo, laying the foundations for new policies and concrete climate action.
